KSS Receives Special Honour from City of London

This past Monday night at the final meeting of the outgoing City Council, Mayor Anne Marie DeCicco-Best presented KSS with a plaque of recognition as this year’s Featured Community Organization, for “striving to make London a caring and compassionate city through dedicated and valuable contributions to the community.”

KSS Wins 2009 Jack Richardson Award

The Karen Schuessler Singers are the newly-announced winners of the 2009 Jack Richardson Music Award in the Classical Choir category. Named for the prominent record producer and music industry arts instructor at Fanshawe College, the Jack Richardson Music Awards celebrate the best of London and area musical talent across a broad range of genres. Past Classical Choir winners include London Pro Musica (2008) and the Amabile Youth Singers (2007, 2006).

Academy voters register online each year for the privilege of celebrating the area’s finest musicians. This year’s awards were presented on Sunday evening, April 5, at The Music Hall. A delighted Karen graciously accepted the award in person, thrilled that our hard work and commitment to excellence have been recognized by the London community in this way.
