From folk to bluegrass and from fiddle to honkytonk, this concert has it all. Tunes will range from the Maritimes and Newfoundland, over through Québec and down to Appalachia. This is serious toe-tapping, down home music. There will be smiles all around.

The music The Heartaches Stringband plays is rich in Canadian roots with a bit of down south thrown in for extra measure. The choir will add to the evening with sparkling arrangements of folk songs and the uplifting lyrics of John Denver. It’s always a thrill to perform music that has spoken to and been sung by folks for generations—good ole toe-tapping, foot-stomping music that resonates with deep authenticity. It’s music that tells the stories of people’s lives and at the same time is just plain fun.
