Richard Zelinka is a Bass chorister with KSS. Professionally, Richard is an Urban Planning Consultant and is a partner in his planning consulting firm in London and Toronto. A lover of singing, he has sung his whole life in church, high school and university choirs, and more recently with Fanshawe Chorus London. As a soloist, he has always enjoyed singing and performing folk and popular songs and accompanying himself on guitar. He serves as a Cantor and chorister at his home parish of St. John the Divine Roman Catholic Church and at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Grand Bend. Richard also sings in the Diocesan Choir for the Diocese of London.
A relatively new member of KSS, Richard was thrilled last season when the choir performed half of his favourite choral work, Rachmaninoff’s All-night Vigil. At that concert he performed a solo chant. The Bach St. John Passion marks Richard’s debut as a soloist in a major work. He studies voice with Karen Schuessler.
