Sarah Kennedy – Alto

Education/Training: 
My singing career started when I was 6 years old in the Islington Youth Choir.  When I turned 12, I joined the Toronto Children’s Chorus, and at 16 I started in the Toronto Mendelssohn Youth Choir. Then lots of choirs in college.

Do you also have a non-singing “day job”? If so, what do you do?
I work at Longworth Retirement Residence as a server in the dining room.  The residents will quite often hear me singing through mealtimes.

A defining moment of favorite KSS onstage experience: 
My favourite concerts with KSS have been too many to mention. Every concert is special when I get to sing with such amazing people.  We continue to get new, talented people to join our community and we are so blessed to be led by a caring, compassionate leader that continues to challenge us.

Anything you’d like to add about yourself? 
I was raised in the Community of Christ.  My faith has brought me through many wonderful and difficult times in my life.  I am a priest in my church,  and I love the experiences that this role has allowed me.

I have two wonderful kids named Briana and Josiah.  I feel very blessed to sing with Josiah in KSS.
