Education/Training:
Studied piano attaining grade 8 level from Royal Conservatory
Studied Cello, Double Bass and Clarinet in High School as well as becoming the first student of A.B. Lucas SS to attain a school letter for involvement in music and drama.
I have sung in Church choirs from age 5
Current member of Wesley-Knox United Church Senior Choir

Do you also have a non-singing “day job”? If so, what do you do?
I am a semi-retired dentist whose avocation is singing in choirs.
I spent the first part of my career practicing in southwestern Ontario and then spent over 20 years living and working in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Abu Dhabi, The Northern Mariana Islands and rural Northern Newfoundland
Currently an Adjunct Clinical Professor at Schulich Dentistry of U.W.O.

Where else have you sung?
Sang with the renowned University of Western Ontario Concert Choir.
Member of the semi-professional ‘Jeddah Light Opera’ of Saudi Arabia and had a starring role as ‘Pooh-Bah’ in The Mikado and performed in several other musicals.
Many previous vocal solos at churches and other venues throughout Ontario, Newfoundland and the Middle East.

Favorite choral work(s):
Handel’s Messiah and Gjeilo’s The Ground

Anything you’d like to add about yourself?
I really enjoy the music of the 60’s and 70’s and 80’s– especially Neil Diamond, The Beatles, Journey, Leonard Cohen, Gordon Lightfoot etc.

What London experience do you consider essential for visitors/newcomers?
Old South London/Wortley Village is an urban gem unique to anywhere I have lived, as there is almost no reason to leave, since almost everything needed for a full life can be had within the area.
